Preggo cravings…

This is what I had for lunch…

It was one of those ‘If You Give A Mouse a Cookie’ moments… but with a pregnant craving twist.
See…
After you make scrambled eggs (you can barely see them under the apples) you’ll put away the eggs in the fridge and notice the mild cheddar cheese.
Yum.
You’ll cut a few cheese slices.
Then you’ll think, “Gee, apples sure go well with cheese!”
You’ll slice up an apple.
Yum.
Just before you sit down, you’ll rememeber the red grapes you just bought at the store.
Yum.
After you rinse the grapes you’ll feel like you need a bit of an energy boost.
You’ll remember the Large Regular Iced Coffee you got at McDonalds yesterday but didn’t finish.
You’ll pull the 32 ouncer out of the fridge and notice the cookie dough.
Gotta finish lunch with something sweet.
Cookie dough.
Yum.
The perfect preggo lunch.

You may be wondering what the perfect preggo dinner is.
I’ll tell you…

(got these from my parents at Christmas. Been craving Corn Chex for dinner.)

What did you crave when you were preggers?

December poem…

At the end of November, I put away my beloved hand print turkey, you see… Joyfully to be replaced by our fabulous fake Christmas tree.
Our personal handmade stockings were hung with care.
In every picture Eli is in his underwear.
With style and flare we let the kiddos decorate.
I suppose only their mom thinks it looks great!
We decorated a gingerbread house with candy.
And baked cookies that were just dandy!
Pictures with Santa… Cora wasn’t a fan of his lap.
Hot Hubby and I danced the night away on bubble wrap.
The house was covered in lights, a pinnacle of glory!
See it all in this whrrl story…
with Julie and the gals from Project 320.
We broke the “Baby News” which made people gape.
We even caught my parents’ delayed reaction on tape…
There were train rides
…giant slides…
…and silly friends by our sides!
Through all the hustle and bustle it’s easy to forget,
the little baby born to give his life for our debt.
Read Luke 2 if you’d like to remember,
our awesome Saviour before all his splendor.
Merry Christmas Eve!!!

The Poem…

A few days before this Lover’s Holiday my Hot Hubby wrote me a poem and framed itIt was lovely and silly and witty. See…

Kara Noel, Kara Noel
I adore you Kara Noel
You are the mother of our wonderful kids
You are the creator of Eli’s Lids.
I love to look into your beautiful eyes,
They somehow make me realize,
Just how thankful I am for you,
And all the wonderful things you do!
I feel like the luckiest man on this earth,
Because you went through the pains of child birth,
Two beautiful kids is what you gave to me,
To give us a start to our family.
Come follow me and you will see,
Just how wonderful our lives will be!
I can only hope to show you my love,
By leading you to our God above!!!
