Gladys & Internet Overload

I’m not super technical… it was just a couple of months ago that I found out that “You Tube” wasn’t “U Tube.” And today, I’m going to share with you two You Tube videos. I embedded them all by myself too!!
Last night I went to my Grandmom’s house for her Quiltie Group (mind you all we do is eat… no sewing in sight). My sister (by default) Sarah showed everyone the video from the Ellen show. We were all on the floor laughing.

I was over at Rocks In My Dryer and saw this video. This is totally how I feel about all the Internet hoop-da-la. Someday I’ll join Facebookpromise!

Cake, Crafts, Great Food, Lame Movie

We did celebrate Valentine’s Day… just not on Cora Jane’s birthday! I started with a Red Velvet Cake (which is actually just chocolate cake with LOADS of red food coloring… thx Lindsay!). I have never made one before… those suckers are R-E-D!! I mean play dough red… it freaked me out. After I frosted it, the poor little cake just looked pathetic. My friends ate it anyway.

Of course, we did some Valentine’s crafts!! I just cut a bunch of hearts and let the kiddos go wild with glue and glitter.
I came up with some festive heart art pieces (art pieces sounds so much more fancy!). But most of all my little ones had fun and I was soaking up every second of it!!
We presented Hot Hubby with his Valentine… he loved it!
Already in their PJs, we whisked the kiddos off to their buddies’ house so we could have a hot date.We had the best dinner ever at Lou’s Red Oak BBQ Grill (thanks Susie!!) then saw the lamest movie ever. I don’t want to bad talk about the movie because I’m just not into the ranting blogs, but… we saw He’s Just Not That Into You. #1 The whole movie was stolen from an episode of Sex and the City… you remember the one when Samantha gets advice about the guy that “just isn’t that into” her? #2 We aren’t into cheating and lying in a marriage… not entertainment for us. We thought it was lame… so spend the $22.00 if you want to… we wish we could have ours back!
We went to pick up the kiddos (played some Wii with our friends before we woke them up!) and finished off the night with a snuggle… ;)

The Greatness that is Cora Jane!

Take a bite out of this book…

I just devoured this month’s book club pick… The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield
The Tale is a bit dark in the beginning but leaves you very satisfied at the end!
